DevOps Engineer

Description

We're looking for a new colleague to join us as a DevOps engineer, someone who sits at the intersection of our developers and our infrastructure. You'll handle a wide range of requests that shape our day to day, whether that means automating repetitive tasks or troubleshooting our trading software as it runs across markets around the world. Just as importantly, we want someone to help us modernize how we deploy and monitor.

We're after a DevOps engineer who knows Python well, is a strong problem solver, treats the shell as second nature, and can configure and deploy a properly tuned PostgreSQL database in Docker. Someone who will find their footing quickly in the environment we work in and make our work more efficient and our lives easier along the way.

We're looking for enthusiasm, ownership, independence, and experience, and we're ready to offer the same in return.

What we expect from you

  • Expert knowledge of Linux, the shell, and the command line.
  • A solid grasp of hardware and networking technologies.
  • Good command of Python.
  • Familiarity with databases, containerization, and distributed computing environments.
  • Excellent logical thinking.
  • A willingness to tackle technical problems of all kinds.
  • An overview of modern DevOps tooling and an eye on new major software releases.
  • English at a B2 level.

We like to give people room to realize their potential and have a direct impact on results. We like to have results reasonably fast, both in terms of development and runtime. We spend most of our time thinking, discussing what the best solution is, and coding. We see each other in the office 4 days a week, but we don’t set fixed timetables.
