How our teams work

Our analysts come up with ways to improve our trading. They design mathematical models to predict future prices – how much will a barrel of oil cost in five minutes? – and, armed with a price model, propose the strategy for executing that signal: do I want to be more on the buy or sell side right now? We then watch how the resulting algorithms behave in production, which sparks new ideas for pushing our trading a little further: why did buying that contract lose money? Could we have made a better decision at that moment?

Code is in our veins. Most of us write software every day and we build everything in‑house, with an emphasis on productivity, quality and reliability. Our infrastructure and our engineers form the backbone of what we do. The scope of our work is broad – from low‑level optimisation and API design to building front‑ends. You don’t have to master everything; there are plenty of opportunities to find your own niche.

We teach machines to understand data. We train deep‑learning models on massive market data sets and tune them to provide actionable insights. Our team includes researchers and engineers. During the interview you’ll tackle real problems that land on our desks every day and we’ll discuss what you expect from machine learning – and what we’ll expect from you. If you enjoy combining mathematics, logical reasoning and ML best practices, this could be the team for you.

Without our Ops team, the well‑oiled company machine would grind to a halt. It’s a small but crucial group that supports Qminers’ visibility in key areas. HR, office and creative roles work hand in hand to enable colleagues from our core teams to perform at their best.
